is it NOT possible to beat it withOUT obtaining the severed arm from stickman? coz without the 5 coins from the "mysterious hand", i can't seem to find enough =/

You can, look behind things (rocks stumps, gargoyles, etc...)
I wouldn't bother to keep finding glitches if this game wasn't awesome and addicting!
I'm on the screen with Emma. The map shows Gretel on the map section where the four-way split path with the rabbit trap is.
The three-circle tree puzzle didn't respond when I completed it. It's pretty clear I had it correct--the unresponsiveness may have had to do with the fact that I warped away from the island using the map just after crossing the swamp. When I started the game over again, it worked just fine.
If you walk into the river from the right side on the screen with the water wheel, the waist-deep puddle-walking animation goes back to the walking-on-land animation and you walk on top of the water, and when this happens, Gretel also appears in front of the bridge as you walk onto it, instead of behind its ledge as it should be.
When you throw the bone, is the wolf supposed to run backwards over the bridge past where you're standing, in the opposite direction of the bone?
Wolf run is a glitch, but i just submitted a fix for it, should be in by morning :)
figured out the mushroom death thanks, i'm glad i got to see that, it was awesome :D. that officially gave me more medals than you for your own game :) please do let me know when you fix the last medal (metal sandwich).
o, and btw, those last four secret medals, any hints to give? i just want more gameplay more than just playing for medals.
And I'm playing again a third time to get the Mushroom death!
Also SNAP I've been playing this for almost three hours!
If you walk pretty much directly left on the first game screen, the layers on the trees are pretty messed up if you walk into the tree stump at the right angle.
It is possible to finish the tree-dinner section without getting the severed arm. I'm not sure that it's possible to beat the game without the severed arm due to lack of money for all the items.
After completing the tree-dinner section, I kept walking right, and the door didn't accept me into the next room until I stopped holding the right arrow key / stopped walking.
I managed to walk behind the tree with the hanging bell that signals the item dealer when I got the coin next to it with the tree layered behind Gretel instead. It's not terribly noticeable though. It's a bit of a tricky glitch to recreate.
The problem with the three-circle puzzle not responding, I discovered, is that you must finish the puzzle by rotating the middle two circles in order for the completion to register. It doesn't work any other way, for some reason.
I guess because I replayed the game by pressing 'Continue' on the menu screen just after beating the game, the bone (which I had obtained on my last playthrough) was already on the ground when I came back to the frozen cave, and I didn't even light either of the torches.
Probably for the same reason as the above-mentioned glitch, when I came back to the screen where you're supposed to make the bridge appear, the scene switched to the screen where the wolf was. Then Gretel was chased over an invisible bridge.
I've come across a couple more occasions where the map screen shows Gretel in the wrong area.
...And that's it.
I'm done now :)
Save for all the glitches, you, djkingdb, and the two musicians did an astounding job with this. I'll write a review tomorrow. In all likelihood, a 10/10 review. I'm guessing the glitches are bound to be touched upon at some point.

Couple of times my bag would disappear. I think its when I had the map out and tried to use the glasses.
Also that part with the fairies I lost control and they wouldn't move for some reason.

First of all, the game is awesome. Truly, the game is so good I have to lower the scores of all the games I gave 5s to previous to this because you have raised the bar.
I have a problem though. I didn't get the arm for dinner so I couldn't shake hands so I ended up with 23 coins -- one short of being able to afford the bow which makes it impossible to finish the game so obviously I have to start over, and that's unfortunate.
I'm wondering if you were planning to do anything with the invisible owl or the invisble eyes in the tree or the invisible blood leading into the fireplace as optional ways to get coins and/or medals, or am I just not clever enough to figure out what to do with them?
Great suggestions, you can definitely still beat the game without the hand. You can get 26 coins total during that part two more than you need. Try looking behind all rocks and trees and stumps and digging up all the coin spots.
I still have my dagger. At the very beginning of the game when I hung the rabbit it instantly slit its throat right after the hanging action. It was weird, so I still have my knife and the mirror over laps it.
Weird, never heard of that one before. I'll look into it.

This game is really great. In addition, much more beautiful than the first one the second game. Now all I have a question ... When this is the third?
in the tree's house, i refused the cake and died, but i clicked gretel and she was suddenly fine, no death cutscene. also the glasses and map showed up before i bought them, thats how i got out of the tree place and my inventory bag never showed up.
bug: went to use bone on wolf, game froze. not a big deal, i restarted.
details: went across bridge, clicked bag, tried to use bow with no arrow, game continued playing, i ran back to first bridge screen, maybe middle of screen, clicked bag, waited for wolf, attempted to use bone on wolf, game froze with just wolf on screen.

I've found another glitch - if you attack Hansel on the screen with the dead bear, the inventory sack disappears and does not reappear, even when changing screens or using the map to teleport. Restarting the game seemed to be the only way to make it come back. Every time Hansel is attacked on that same screen, the inventory sack very briefly comes back, only to disappear again.
Ok, I'm stuck! I'm just missing two more medals that are secret ones. So, I have no clue as to what they are or how to get them unless I just happen to stumble upon them by blind chance. I've already got the Birdie, Headless, Liberal Animation, Sorceress, Your Head Essplode, and Holy Shhhhhh secret medals. Still missing the other two. If anyone knows what they are please feel free to share.
could you tell me how to get the revenge medal ? I think there's no one hates Gretel or makes something really bad to her..
I've been attempting to play for about 3 days now, and I'm having trouble with moving around. The first time I played it worked fine until I got to the bear, Gretel would continue moving in one direction, regardless of what button I pushed. Even if I managed to her moving in the opposite direction, she won't stop... I tried restarting the game/refresing the page to see if that would fix the problem, but no dice. I really want to finish the game, but can't because of this problem. Can you please fix this? Thank you for your time.

Loved the game, it was so amazing. The game glitched for me when I ate the mushroom, the screen with the skull never popped up so instead i was walking around as a headless gretel and wasn't able to leave that part of the map for a few minutes, then suddenly the head was back and it was daytime... still got the medal just thought it was something to look into.
Ok, I've been through this game over and over and I still cannot figure out Secret Medals 2 and 5. People are starting to believe that they're broken, but I would like to believe otherwise.
I used to believe that it had something to do with the owl and the gravestones, but you just said that they're mainly there for decoration. Just red herrings.
Shame.
So can you please give a tinsy bit of a hint towards how to get both the 2nd and 5th Secret Medals???
I have all but those two and I'm still unable to figure it out. I'm hitting everything and trying out different options. But I still end up empty handed.

oh my gosh it was incredible very enjoyable
but, i did find a few glitches uhh i encountered the one with when you die in tree-feeder and come back theres a skip button and if you press it it takes you the the death seen of the tree (him on fire).
Also uhh when i got to the end of the bridge where the wolf is i opened my inventory and clicked one the bow & arrow but i think i clicked again on the spell book and she read the spell book and the wolf was still there but it didnt chase me or die it was just there and when i walked up to it i just walked right past it so i went back on the brige to the gargoyle side came back and the wolf was gone ,the glitch didnt effect me finishing the game but it was quite strange.
